UX design project
G-Dragon
The fictional company called Cyberdyne system had come up with a new product called G-Dragon. It is a flying vehicle that looks like a jet ski but flies in the air; it is battery-operated and has a list of restrictions and functions. G-Dragon has an integrated GPS function, a track function and some safety functions.Â
The product has a display with a touch function that shows important information and the GPS function.
The assignment
The assignment was to design the display for the G-Dragon, its function and layout.Â
A GPS-App connected with the built in GPS in the G-Dragon and shown on the display. Design user test for the display- and the GPS-app prototype.
Create a storyboard with a scenario and a persona to find out peoples attitude towards the G-Dragon and put the product in a context.
the phases that were examined in this case was prototyping wireframes, designing user tests and performing test sessions with test persons.

G-Dragons Display
The design is simple to understand and use because of the fact that the G-Dragon is a flying vehicle I wanted it to be save to interact with even if you are in the air. It is a touchscreen that can be used when the vehicle stands still and locked when it is driven for safety reasons.

Design
Functions
The display shows the speed, how, altitude, latitude and how far it to objects beside you. It also shows the coordinates and slope and climb.Â
G-Dragon is power-driven so the display shows how much power there is left. It also has features that show the temperature, time and date. It also has blinkers to show in which direction you are going.Â
The display also has settings whit a number of functions. The icons turn from grey into colour if a setting is activated. In the setting can you connect the GPS-app that is connected to the G-Dragon.
User tests: G-dragons Display
I designed a user test for the display to find out how it will be received by a possible user, if it easy to use and understand but also how the test-person interact with the display.

Product information
Get information about the G-Dragon, what it is and how it works.
User test
The test person got a number of tasks to perform on the clickable prototype for the display.

Get to know my work
Welcome to my web page and portfolio!Â
As you may find out am I a versatile designer who loves to create things regardless how. My previous work is basically school projects, my own projects and also some design competition contributions.Â
I just can´t put a string on me and create a simple, clean and structured portfolio. So regardless from that- enjoy this structured chaos.

User test- Clickable display prototype
I created the prototype in Figma, which also is clickable. The test persons got information about the G-Dragon and then a number of tasks to perform on the clickable prototype.Â
They where observed during the test session and I took notes on what they were doing, how well they manage to do the tasks.

GPS-App
The GPS-application is a feature that can be connected with the G-Dragons built in GPS system.Â
The app can be download to a smartphone and then connected to the G-dragon and shown on the display.Â
G-Dragon is a vehicle that is driven in the air a so a GPS-App can be useful to know where you are and in which direction you are going. In the air there are no traffic signs and other things that can indicate where you are.
GPS-App
Settings
The App is connected directly to the G-Dragon. The user creates a profile with personal information but also about the vehicle and other useful settings.

GPS-App
Set the destination
You can search and find destinations in the application. You can ether start from the location you are at or set it manually. The destination can be chosen from a list of favorites or set manually.

GPS-App
Choose a route and connect whit the G-Dragons display
A recommended route is given when the start and end point has been settled.
the user can then start the description which will tell time of arrival, time to travel and distance to the destination.
The button with the three dots gives the user more settings. One of the functions is that the user can connect the G-Dragons display with the App. The cellphone it self should not be used while driving the G-Dragon in the air.

User test on the
GPS-App
I did a clickable prototype for the GPS-App in Figma. The test persons got a number of tasks to perform in the interactive prototype. during the test session did they talk about their experience, what they perceived as simple, good, more difficult and bad about the functions and design. Â
Observation and documentation on paper on what the test persons did and said was also made by me.
Storyboard
A storyboard with a scenario and persona was made to put the G-Dragon in context. The test persons task was to look at the storyboard and then fill in a questionnaire. that contaied questions connected to the G-dragon and the attitude against it.

Learnings
To find out peoples attitude agains a (new) product can be tricky. By doing prototypes and design user tets can be a good way of finding out what people thinks about a product, but also how they interact with it.
It is important to design your tests well and use the right methods to be able to evaluate the results.
The next phase of this project is to evaluate the test results to improve the prototypes and test them again.
